MS Energy Services™ Sets Second Charco Sand Drilling Record


Conroe, Texas – MS EnergyServices® is proud to announce that it set the Charco Sand drilling record for DevonEnergy Corporation - for the second time - on July 20, 2011. The well included a 1,250 foot curveand 4,160 foot lateral, and averaged over 944 feet per day from spud to TD (notincluding casing point days). The overall ROP averaged 12.02 feet per hour inthe curve section, and 51.68 feet per hour in the lateral section. MS Directionalprovided the directional drilling support, using an Mpact® Downhole Motor configured with a 4-3/4” performancepower section and premium stator elastomer.

Cotton Valley BHA Drilling Footage Record

MS Energy Services™ Sets Cotton Valley BHA Drilling Footage Record


Conroe, Texas – MS Energy Services is proud to announce that it set the Cotton Valley Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA)drilling footage record on April 21, 2011. The assembly drilled a total of 3,522feet in 178 hours, for an average ROP of 20.6 ft/hr. MS Directional providedthe directional drilling support, using an Mpact® Downhole Motor configured with a 4-3/4” slow-speed performancepower section and premium stator elastomer.

MS Energy Services™ Announces New Facility and New Mid-Continent Region Manager


Conroe, Texas – MS Energy Services™ announces the opening of its new Mid-Continent regionalheadquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The new operation will serve key oil and gas customersin the region which has been an area of continuing growth for MS Energy Services. The operationwill include an all-purpose Regional Service Center; initially supported by both the Conroe and FortWorth manufacturing operations to ensure optimal customer service and support.


The new operation will be under the direction of Carthan Heard, the recently appointed Mid-Continent Region Manager for MS Energy Services. Mr. Heard has extensive experience inproviding effective directional drilling solutions and services for customers in the oil and gasindustry. His prior experience as MS Energy Services’ Sr. Drilling Advisor and Directional DrillingDivision Manager has fully prepared him to lead this expansion in the Mid-Continent region.
